I am back again to give you insight into my latest project with Tillamook! Yes, that Tillamook!
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely consider myself to be an ice cream expert, so this shoot was so fun. It was even featured in AdWeek and will be a mainstay of a new campaign Tillamook is promoting, all about how they’re not like other ice cream brands.

What’s Tillamook?
In case you’re not familiar with the brand, Tillamook is a dairy brand, mostly known for their delicious cheeses and ice creams. They’re based out of Tillamook, OR, and they’re basically a cooperative of 80 dairy farms in the area — all of which create dairy for things like butter, sour cream, and yogurt. And did I mention the delicious cheeses and ice cream flavors?!
Because they’re a cooperative of local farms, the quality of ingredients is totally non-negotiable to Tillamook—to the point where they wanted to start a new campaign. While other dairy products and brands in general have pushed low-cal “health” food, Tillamook wanted to double down on how important it is to have quality ingredients — and delicious dairy products.
Mostly, they wanted to focus on how ice cream brands fill their products with air so there are less calories (because there’s less cream!). What sort of blasphemy is that?
To share this campaign, their agency chose a handful of influencers to take part in this campaign — and we were selected! This shoot was so much fun and we can totally get behind delicious, flavorful treats.
The campaign
Even though I may consider myself to be an ice cream pro, I had NO idea that so many ice creams are pumped full of air! Do you know which ice cream has more cream than legally required by the FDA?? TILLAMOOK, of course.
I think we can all agree that the creamier the ice cream, the tastier it is! Not only does it taste better, but it looks better on camera, too. See what I mean?
Styling the set for Tillamook
We made and styled three different desserts with our favorite flavors of Tillamook extra creamy ice cream! I played off of a monochrome color theme that is featured in the primary campaign video.

This triple scoop has Old Fashioned Vanilla, Tillamook MudSlide, and Oregon Strawberry Ice cream. You just can’t go wrong with a classic cone, right? And I’ve never been happier to have a blue fridge! I added it during the studio reorganization and it matched this shoot and aesthetic perfectly! Luckily it’s on wheels – we rolled it out and hung a roll of paper behind it for this shoot.

This mouth-watering shake has Oregon Strawberry Ice Cream with a cute little slice of strawberry cake on top! We used hot fudge to get the sprinkles to stick to the glass and pins to secure the strawberries in place
This ice cream cake has a layer of Tillamook Mudslide, a layer of Old Fashioned Vanilla with hot fudge, crushed cookies, and cream between the layers….YUM! // we spray painted a lazy susan yellow to act as a cake stand and I LOVE how it turned out.
