Who’s ready for a refreshing behind-the-scenes peek at another photoshoot? This time, our photoshoot case study covers my recent work with Tic Tac!
Tic Tac and their agency, Golin, hired LISH creative to create a couple of stop-motion videos for their social media pages. There were two themes for the videos. One was to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and the other was to be inspired by awards season and red carpet glam looks.
See how we pulled off these stop-motion videos in the blog below!
A rainbow of colors for St. Patrick’s Day
You all know we can’t turn down an opportunity to style and shoot a rainbow! We had to create a rainbow out of different colored Tic Tacs for a St. Patrick’s Day themed stop-motion.

First, we loaded up on the Tic Tac Fruit Adventure flavor, which includes sweet cherry, orange, apple, and passion fruit Tic Tacs. Yum! Then we sketched out a rainbow shape on a light blue paper backdrop.
We laid out each Tic Tac in the rainbow shape one by one. After the rainbow was complete, we carefully removed each row of Tic Tacs.
By shooting the video backward and reversing the frames, the final result looks like a pretty rainbow of Tic Tacs unfurling into a mini pot of gold! Watch the Tic Tac rainbow come together in this TikTok.

Stylish red carpet candy
Remember the infamous red carpet “Mani Cam” that was shown on E! network?
Style and fashion are always a big deal at red carpet events like the Oscars, Emmys, and Grammys. But cable channel E! took it to the next level with a miniature red carpet setup — complete with backdrop and faux hedges — just for stars to show off their manicures.
We recreated the Mani Cam for a red carpet stop-motion video for Tic Tac! To build our own Mani Cam diorama, we used:
- Red velvet for the actual red carpet
- Floral foam, balsa wood, faux moss, and Hot Glue for mini hedge walls
- Printed Tic Tac logos for the step and repeat photo backdrop
Then, we hired an amazing nail artist at 5th Szn to create press-on nails featuring actual Tic Tacs! You can see a closeup of the gorgeous work they did in their Instagram post.

Once the candy nails were on, all I had to do was pose my red carpet-ready fingers and shoot! See how it turned out and get more glimpses of the process in my TikTok.
