For all of the prepping and planning that goes into a wedding, it sure does fly by quickly. Before I even had a chance to grab a drink, we were dancing to our last song! There were so many people to see and so many moments that I wanted to freeze into my brain. Luckily, we brought on a stellar photo/video team and then used Mixbook to print all of our memories from the day into a photo book.
The wedding album was just one part of our Mixbook photobook trio. We chose the same size, style and finishes for each, but changed the design and imagery to represent the 3 stages of our nuptials: the engagement, the wedding and the honeymoon! For the cover we went with the 8.5×8.5 hardcover in soft touch matte. For the inside, we chose the Premium Matte Lay Flat pages. We love this combination because it is SO luxe. It makes us feel like we’re looking at one of those fancy hotel coffee-table books, except our faces are inside!
The first book we created was to represent our engagement, but in the process of doing so, we realized that we could use the Mixbook editor to make it into our official wedding guestbook! We intentionally left some pages and spaces blank so that guests could leave notes for us throughout. The matte pages were perfect to prevent smearing and smudging.
Next, we used one of the Mixbook x Oh Joy designs to create our wedding album. We had a very colorful wedding so the designs were perfect and we loved using the cute stickers to showcase how it really was the “best day ever.” This was the largest book of the three and we spread some of our favorite images across 2 pages, so the lay-flat feature was well utilized.
For our third and final book, we showcased images from our honeymoon to Italy and Greece! I took a few photos on my camera, but we mainly used our phones to capture the trip since they’re smaller and easier to carry around. Mixbook made it easy to add all of those phone photos by providing a QR code to scan. We’re so impressed by the quality!
Now that all of the adventures are over, these three books have been sitting on the coffee table in our new home and have been the perfect conversation starter for when guests come to visit.
