As promised, here is my post dedicated to the architecture of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Yes, the McQueen exhibit was extraordinary, but the Met also had a lot more to offer. I was more than surprised and equally impressed by the high ceilings, rooftop garden, old charm, and unique aspects of the astronomically large museum. If you can’t make it to NYC this summer to see the Alexander McQueen exhibit, I still recommend going to see this amazing museum and NYC landmark at some point.

Gorgeous, exposed brick interior- did they add on the the original building here?
Old Victorian room, straight from a castle
Amazing indoor courtyard. I enjoyed a fantastic grilled salmon salad at the tables on the bottom left overlooking the space.
Indoor pond and gorgeous wall of windows surrounding one of the Met’s most extraordinary objects- the Temple of Dendur
