When my good friend Amy reached out inviting me to a creative wellness retreat, I immediately said yes. I didn’t know where, when or how, but I knew that if she was excited about it, I should be too. I had recently moved cross-country from Los Angeles to the midwest, and life was hectic, but I had a feeling that I needed to carve out time to make the trip to Ojai, California for the very first Craft A Life You Love Retreat.
Aside from an opportunity to connect with the other attendees, there were creative sessions like watercolors with Amy, scrapbooking with Stacy Julian and planning with Stephanie Fleming of The Happy Planner. There was morning Yoga with Hannah Joy, AromaTouch sessions with Kelsey Zahn and the most amazing food & conversations thanks to Kara Elise.
Sometimes in the hustle and the craziness of life, we forget that it’s ok to slow down, to rest and to reflect on where we are, and where things are going. We forget the need for connection with others and lose sight of our purpose and goals. This retreat was exactly where I needed to be. There were so many a-ha moments, and nuggets of wisdom and I left feeling INSPIRED, EXCITED and REFOCUSED. Here are some of my favorite images that I captured during the experience:
