Inside the Craft a Life You Love Retreat

When my good friend Amy reached out inviting me to a creative wellness retreat, I immediately said yes. I didn’t know where, when or how, but I knew that if she was excited about it, I should be too. I had recently moved cross-country from Los Angeles to the midwest, and life was hectic, but I had a feeling that I needed to carve out time to make the trip to Ojai, California for the very first Craft A Life You Love Retreat. Aside from an opportunity to connect with the other attendees, there were creative sessions like watercolors with…

Our Wedding Photobooks

For all of the prepping and planning that goes into a wedding, it sure does fly by quickly. Before I even had a chance to grab a drink, we were dancing to our last song! There were so many people to see and so many moments that I wanted to freeze into my brain. Luckily, we brought on a stellar photo/video team and then used Mixbook to print all of our memories from the day into a photo book.  The wedding album was just one part of our Mixbook photobook trio. We chose the same size, style and finishes for…

Party-to-go Favor Bags with Anagram Balloons

When thinking about the perfect favor bag, I realized that the favor should not only be a reflection of the party, but also provide entertainment once the party is over. We came up with the idea of “Party to Go” as a way to give people the supplies they would need to celebrate anything and everything. As part of our wedding partnership with Anagram Balloons, we included their Iridescent Party Phrase Balloons in each bag. The phrase balloons are perfect because they come in a variety of different colors and sayings and last for quite a while once inflated! We…

Running my first half-marathon

Growing up, I never considered myself a “runner.” I played softball and tennis in high school and college so I would run 2-3 miles for cardio exercise every now and then, but I suffered from shin splints and was operating under the assumption that my body wasn’t built to run. But then I started meeting people who have done it. In person and on social media, it seemed like there were marathoners everywhere! And they weren’t all super-athletes with the perfectly thin “runner’s build” either. They were people just like me. With each person I met, I was more inspired,…
