For our partnership with Anagram Balloons, we wanted to come up with a super fun and whimsical way to let wedding guests know their table number! With their OmbrĂ© Orbz and a little spray paint, your wedding display could really “pop.” Scroll through for a photo tutorial 🙂 You will need:– Anagram OmbrĂ© Orbz Balloons– spray paint– stencil– tacky spray– note cards Step 1: Inflate the Anagram OmbrĂ© Orbz with air or helium if you would like a floating display Step 2: Cut a stencil for each number. We used a Cricut machine to expedite this process, but scissors or…

Party-to-go Favor Bags with Anagram Balloons

When thinking about the perfect favor bag, I realized that the favor should not only be a reflection of the party, but also provide entertainment once the party is over. We came up with the idea of “Party to Go” as a way to give people the supplies they would need to celebrate anything and everything. As part of our wedding partnership with Anagram Balloons, we included their Iridescent Party Phrase Balloons in each bag. The phrase balloons are perfect because they come in a variety of different colors and sayings and last for quite a while once inflated! We…

Running my first half-marathon

Growing up, I never considered myself a “runner.” I played softball and tennis in high school and college so I would run 2-3 miles for cardio exercise every now and then, but I suffered from shin splints and was operating under the assumption that my body wasn’t built to run. But then I started meeting people who have done it. In person and on social media, it seemed like there were marathoners everywhere! And they weren’t all super-athletes with the perfectly thin “runner’s build” either. They were people just like me. With each person I met, I was more inspired,…

The Perfect California Roadtrip

Last week we had a chance to travel from San Francisco to Los Angeles and so many of you have asked for a peek at the itinerary! I wish we would’ve done a bit more planning, but we found some gems and have some learnings to share with you. Day 1: MUIR WOODS & SAN FRANCISCOBoth of us had spent time in San Francisco, so we didn’t take a whole day to explore this time, but I would highly recommend checking out this city on your first day if you haven’t yet! We started our day in Muir Woods and…

A Beautiful Bridal Shower with Anagram Balloons

What happens when you take a cute cafe and add balloons? An even cuter space for a bridal shower! To celebrate my upcoming wedding, my friends decided to throw a bridal shower at Dot’s Cafe in Pasadena. Aside from delicious cupcake and brunch eats, the space contains floral wall paper, marble tables and rose gold chairs. As part of our wedding partnership with Anagram Balloons, we had the opportunity to pick out balloon decor to complement the space. We picked out their Rose Gold Orbz to pair with each rose gold chair and added matching rose gold letters and phrases.…

Picking our Pittsburgh Wedding Venue

After more than a year of being engaged and with just 5 months until the big day, we finally found the perfect wedding venue! We thought about a Los Angeles wedding, but we ultimately wanted to be closer to our family and friends since we are both originally from the steel city. I scoured the internet to research all of the venues that Pittsburgh had to offer. Our search criteria was as follows: – Location within the city of Pittsburgh – Ability to bring our own caterer (to save $) – Ability to bring our own alcohol (to save $) – A non-traditional look &…

How to use photos throughout your wedding decor

I’m back with another wedding update featuring our friends at Mixbook! This time, I’m sharing how to turn photos into wedding decor! Photos are such a huge part of my identity. Besides being a physical representation of my career, the colors and aesthetic of a certain photo can evoke certain emotions. I love creating images that have a sense of joy, so it only makes sense that our wedding will include joyful photos that represent us as a couple. Besides photo prints and photo books (which are great as a guest book and wedding album, btw) Mixbook also offers various…

Holiday Looks with Zenni

It’s that time of year again – time to trim the tree, bake some cookies, and get ready for those holiday gatherings. To help you prep for the parties, I partnered with Zenni to put together some of my favorite holiday looks, featuring their stylish frames! At the beginning of the project, I  was just planning on picking two styles, but I  could not decide and had to pick three! Before now, I  always felt like buying glasses was such a huge commitment. I  always went for something practical in a neutral color to make sure I was able to…

Inside the Color Factory, NYC

I’m so excited to give you a look inside the Color Factory, NYC –  located at 251 Spring Street. Ever since hearing about the press preview in August, I’ve been anxious to give you all a sneak peek! I couldn’t make it to the east coast for preview day, but I did have a chance to make a trip there this month and believe me, it was well worth the wait. The Color Factory is unlike any other pop-up museum or temporary installation that I’ve seen (and if you’ve been following along, you know that I’ve been to quite a few!).…
