If I had to choose a word to describe my life in 2015, it would be TRANSITION. So much has changed over the past 12 months, but somehow, in all of chaos and confusion, it has been an incredible year of growth. I’m ending this year with a fresh perspective on my personal life and my business, and I’m excited to share some MAJOR developments very very soon.
In the meantime, a look back on 2015:
March – Dozens of donuts painted later, lishylishy, the Etsy shop, celebrated 1-year in business. I also enjoyed a departure from the dining room table with the arrival of my dedicated, in-home work & studio space!
Inspiration boards – phase 1
April – My first major press feature: The Huffington Post! Mashable followed suit (3x!) and the social media maven in me was crying tears of joy.

May – We learned that Graham (my BF) would officially be starting medical school in Pomona, California (East of Los Angeles) once fall rolled around. I was full of emotions, but powered through and released the lishylishy summer print collection.
July/Aug – Road trip USA! Graham and I headed west to move him into his humble medical school abode by way of Kansas City, Denver, Santa Fe, Palm Springs & San Diego. It was incredible to travel with my love, but ultimately heartbreaking to know that our relationship would be bi-coastal for a while. When I returned to Pittsburgh, I poured myself into my business, taking on more projects and developing an entire new set of goals, missions & values. I think there’s something about anxiety and creative revelations…

Sept – lishylishy the Etsy shop faded away and the new lishylishy website/branding was unveiled.
Oct – I met my biz bestie Natasha IRL for the first time during the #LABrunchParty which we co-hosted. I also met some other incredible creatives during that trip, visited The Broad Museum, went mural-hunting with @circusofcakes, & left feeling more inspired and motivated than ever to pursue my passions.

Nov – I took on more influencer opportunities than ever and spent my Thanksgiving in sunny SoCal with Graham. We ate the world’s best Mexican food at the colorful Ole Mendes, not once, twice, but three times during the trip, and I found my favorite mural of the year in Laguna Beach! Isn’t it just “charming?”
Ole Mendes Yep – I said it, my favorite mural of the year!
Dec – I lined up a few social media strategy + content creation clients for 2016 and was working like crazy! But Graham was home for 2.5 weeks over Christmas, and we took some much needed time off together. I ended the year with a full heart, a lot of ambition, and 11k followers, which was up from 1k in January!
