February Prop Haul

February Prop Haul

Welcome to a new series featuring my monthly prop hauls and finds. My friends often ask me what I'm buying, and where to find the best props, so this is my opportunity to share a shopping list with everyone!

In February I styled an elaborate faux tiered cake, a picnic on the beach, a tea party & more, and I'm sharing my top finds here. I did a lot of shopping at TJMaxx this month, and we all know how hard it is to locate product between stores, so I linked to some similar items here. It's a little bit of a mish mash, but also a lot of fun - let me know what you like best!

Palm Springs Photo Diary

Palm Springs Photo Diary

Earlier this month I headed to Palm Springs for a creative conference, time with friends, and lots of colorful desert and mid-century photo opportunities. I wanted to take some of the classic photos and then add a twist to some too. Read on to see all of the images from Salvation Mountain, the Salton Sea, The Parker, The ACE, The Saguaro, and of course, that pink door...

If I wrote a book...

If I wrote a book...

So many people contemplate writing a book, yet few actually take the leap to do it. I've always thought about it, and because of my love for vibrant imagery, a coffee table book always seemed like the best fit for me. So, when I was approached by Blurb Books to design my own book, it seemed like a dream partnership! Blurb is an independent, creative book-making platform that allows artists, designers, photographers, anyone really, to design, print, and even sell their own books through Blurb, Amazon, Ripple and the Apple iBook Store!

Sleep Space Reveal with Helix Sleep!

Sleep Space Reveal with Helix Sleep!

One of the coolest parts of the new studio is that it's certified for live/work! Which means most of my neighbors are entrepreneurs, photographers, creatives, and others who run a business from their loft living spaces - just like me!

Since I was set on having a client-facing studio environment, I wanted to do everything possible to divide and differentiate my living & working spaces. The office has partial walls, but the rest of the space is wide open. We installed a curtain system using the space's existing beams, and it is the perfect, versatile solution for dividing the two spaces!

I'm excited to share the main shooting space, prop storage & office space in depth soon, but for now, I'm going to dive into my private sleeping area.

Welcome to the Sleep Space reveal!

Latest Work: Murad

Murad was looking for colorful imagery to liven up their social media channels. After visiting their offices and meeting with the team, I was so inspired and had so many ideas flowing! In addition to bringing in their brand color palette across social media, we we also wanted to visually illustrate their core brand ideals which include: nourish, eat your water, be kind to your mind and awaken. The following images are just a sampling of my favorites -
